How to choose the temperature of aluminum alloy quenching medium?
For the different shape, size of the product should use different cooling rate, usually mainly by adjusting the temperature of the medium to achieve.
For simple shape, small and medium-sized, bar can be used room temperature water quenching (water temperature is generally 10 ~ 35℃), for complex shape, the wall thickness of the greater difference between the profiles, can be used 40 ~ 50℃ water quenching. For especially easy to produce deformation of the products, and even the water temperature can be increased to 75 ~ 85℃ for quenching.
The test results show that the mechanical properties and corrosion resistance of the quenched products decrease with the increase of water temperature.
