How to match the heat treatment products with the furnace type
Heat treatment furnace matching is an important link to ensure the quality of heat treatment. Improper furnace matching will have a great impact on the quality of heat treatment, which must be paid special attention. The following factors should generally be considered:
1) First consider the category of heat treatment. Annealing, normalizing, quenching and tempering shall be selected according to the chemical composition of the workpiece, and the furnace shall be equipped with similar heat treatment. When different types of heat treatment are equipped with furnaces, the whole process of heat treatment of all materials must be analyzed, and its operation sequence must be reasonably organized to see whether it can be combined.
2) When preparing the furnace, it is also necessary to consider the materials heat treated in the same furnace. The difference between the upper limit of the maximum heating temperature of quenching and normalizing shall be less than 20 ℃, the tempering temperature shall be within a unified range, and the slowest heating rate shall be selected. Batch discharge can also be used for coordination.
3) When preparing the furnace, it should also be considered that the size of the heat treatment workpiece should not differ too much. Generally, the ratio of the maximum section to the minimum section should be controlled within 2 ~ 2.5. Large and small parts can also be discharged in batches for coordination. If the size difference of the same workpiece is too large, it shall be protected by covering the thermal insulation layer.
4) The same batch of products of the same type and heat number shall be equipped with the same furnace for heat treatment as far as possible. The split sample shall also be heat treated in the same furnace. When charging the furnace, the sample shall be placed in a suitable position in the furnace.
