Main points of repairing trolley furnace

1. Use and maintenance of trolley furnace

(1) The burner of the fuel heating car furnace should be installed along the tangential direction of the bath. Rotate the bath 30-40 at regular intervals (such as every week) to prevent local overheating of the bath and prolong the life of the bath.

(2) Use refractory cement or asbestos gaskets to seal between the flange of the bath and the furnace panel to prevent molten salt from flowing into the furnace. It is not advisable to use fuel to heat the nitrate furnace to prevent explosion caused by the action of carbon black and nitrate after the furnace tube burns through.

(3) Salt holes should be placed at the bottom of the furnace of the trolley furnace to prepare for the discharge of molten salt in the event of an accident, which should be blocked with appropriate materials at ordinary times.

(4) Two thermocouples are used in the trolley furnace to measure the temperature of the furnace near the salt bath and the heating element respectively.

(5) When using cyanide salt, lead, alkali and other toxic bath agents, strong ventilation devices should be installed.


2. Technical points for use and maintenance of electrode salt bath furnace

(1) The newly-purchased or re-repaired electrode salt bath furnace should be baked. It can be baked in a resistance wire tray furnace, and the temperature is raised and insulated in sections to prevent cracks in the concrete bath.

(2) The exhaust device should be activated during work, and the furnace mouth should be covered during power failure.

(3) The furnace shell and the transformer are grounded. The copper bar should be in good contact with the electrode handle. Check the bath, electrode, electrode handle, transformer and water cooling device for leakage and short circuit. Clean up the sticky salt, oxide scale and other dirt on all parts of the furnace.

(4) The salt level should be kept at a certain height to ensure that the workpiece can be heated evenly and quickly, and it should be deoxidized in time, slag removed, and enough new salt should be added.

(5) When it is difficult to start the electrode salt furnace and the furnace is shut down due to the timing, the furnace mouth can be covered and kept under low-grade power supply; part of the salt solution should be removed from the long-term power failure and the starting device should be installed.

(6) Avoid the workpiece falling into the bath to short-circuit the workpiece, and the workpiece falling into the furnace should be removed from the power supply. The workpiece should be kept at a certain distance from the electrode, the side wall of the bath, the bottom of the furnace and the liquid level.

(7) Automatic temperature control device should be adopted.

(8) Attention should be paid to the operation of the transformer, no overload, no oil leakage, and no overheating of the iron core or excessive oil temperature.
