Principles for selection of heat treatment scheme
When selecting the heat treatment scheme, the advanced heat treatment process shall be selected as far as possible according to the workpiece material and existing heat treatment capacity. The selection of general heat treatment scheme shall follow the following principles:
① Require comprehensive performance workpieces. This kind of workpiece is usually quenched and tempered.
② Elastic structural members are required. If a large amount of elastic deformation is not required, such as various springs, spring steel can be selected. According to the selected material, stress relief annealing or quenching and medium temperature annealing heat treatment can be adopted. If a large amount of elastic deformation is required, such as sensitive elements, copper based alloy should be selected, and stress relief annealing or quenching + aging can be adopted.
③ Wear resistant parts are required. When low carbon steel and alloy steel are selected, carburizing or cyanidation is used. When medium carbon steel and alloy steel are selected, high frequency quenching nitriding heat treatment is generally used.
④ Workpieces requiring special physical and chemical properties. Stainless steel and heat-resistant steel shall be selected according to the working environment and the performance requirements of the workpiece, and then treated accordingly according to the technical requirements.
