The purpose of annealing is to reduce the hardness and facilitate machining (the suitable machining hardness is 170hb ~ 230hb); Refine the grain, homogenize the structure and composition of the steel, and improve the mechanical properties of the steel;

Eliminate internal stress to prevent deformation and cracking; Prepare for final heat treatment.

But in general, annealing is not the ultimate goal.

Compared with annealing, normalizing has the advantages of simple operation, short production cycle and less energy consumption. Therefore, normalizing treatment should be preferred when possible
